The Angler Alarms Squid Float and Strike Alarm is the world's only Bluetooth-enabled float monitoring system — and there is nothing else like it on the market.

Using Bluetooth Low Energy technology, the Strike Alarm monitor listens continuously to a signal broadcast by the Squid Float. The moment your float is pulled underwater by a strike, the water blocks the signal and your alarm sounds instantly. No guessing. No watching. No missed catches.

What this means for you:

• Fish multiple rods simultaneously without watching each float

Setting up — 6 seconds: Shake the float and monitor together 6 times in 6 seconds — in one hand.

• 1 beep = Float 1 connected and ready
• 2 beeps = Float 2 connected and ready
• 3 beeps = Float 3 connected and ready

One monitor. Up to 3 floats. Always know which rod is hit:

• Float 1 → one repeating beep when struck
• Float 2 → two repeating beeps when struck
• Float 3 → three repeating beeps when struck

Checking a float during fishing: Shake any float alone near the monitor — the monitor beeps back the float's assigned number, confirming it is still paired and being monitored.

Smart alarm design: If a float becomes tangled on the bottom and stays submerged, the alarm sounds for 10 seconds then automatically stops — no endless false alarms. The moment the float surfaces and is submerged again, the alarm sounds once more.

Checking battery level:

• Shake the float OR monitor alone 10 times
• A long beep at a slightly different pitch = battery is good
• No beep = battery needs replacing
